Meeting with FHI360
LebMASH met with FHI 360 to discuss the LINKAGES project, regional security and legal challenges, emergency planning, and LGBT mental health training.

FHI 360 is an international nonprofit working to improve the health and well-being of people in the United States and around the world.
FHI partners with governments, the private sector, and civil society to bring about positive social change and to provide lifesaving health care, quality education, and opportunities for meaningful economic participation. It does this by using research and evidence to design and deliver innovative programs that change behaviors, increase access to services, and improve lives.
Our executive director, Souad Al Challah, met with Kate from FHI360, who is responsible for the LINKAGES project implemented with USAID and PEPFAR. The program is related to linkages across the continuum of HIV services for key populations. Their team had already developed a toolkit, but decided to update it for key populations in the MENA region. For this reason, they met with different NGOs in the region involved in sexual health, including LebMASH.
Our meeting involved conversations about the security and legal challenges we face as an organization working to better the lives of LGBT individuals, as well as our emergency action plans. The team was also impressed by our mental health training and asked whether it could be uploaded online so they could link to it from their international website. Overall, it was a successful meeting and a great networking opportunity.
